The Water and Soil Management division is in charge of the theoretical and practical training of future forest managers and of the research in water and soils management

TRAINING ACTIVITIES

The following subjects come in the frame of the training and education the division give: forest engineering, wood technology, applied hydrology, geology, soils protection and restoration, applied pedology.

RESEARCH ACTIVITIES

The division realizes research activities in order to update knowledge and to support the teaching activities (memoirs, thesis,...) but also to support rural development. The research covers numerous topics related to the environment namely the rural environment: rural management, watershed management, forest engineering, soils survey and ...Various research, expertise and training activities were accomplished in collaboration with different partners.

RESOURCES

The division is composed of a qualified technical staff with the skills for the fields mentioned above.
The division is also in charge of the Soils laboratory of the Department.
