Introducing Water & Forestry Department

The Water and Forestry Department or ESSA-Forêts, located in Ankatso (University of Antananarivo, Madagascar) is one of the five departments part of the Agronomy School. The other departments deal with Agromanagement, Alimentary Industry, Agriculture and Livestock Rearing. Its principal aim is to train future decision-makers on natural resource management, especially on research in this field. After having three years of common courses, the students must choose one among the five specializations quoted above.

After the fourth and the fifth years of study, they must present a research report that will motivate the Agronomy Engineer Degree. The department also delivers third cycle degrees. The first one is the Masters on Forestry. After this training, the engineers can register for the preparation of the Doctorate program. more
